Think of it as a club membership card — but for a data space. It says: "This organisation is a registered member of the European Logistics Dataspace, with the role of Data Provider, and has signed the 2026 rulebook." One credential can cover multiple data spaces at once.

Where a hotel room card only works in the hotel that issued it, this credential works across every data space node that trusts the same iSHARE Trusted List — no re-registration needed when you move between compatible ecosystems.

Dataspace operators can use this credential standalone to manage membership across their own ecosystem. When combined with the iSHARE Compliance Credential, it forms the iSHARE Participant Credential.

Participant

Your organisation — member of one or more data spaces. Presents this credential when connecting to any node in each data space to prove active membership automatically.

Participant Credential Issuer

Validates your dataspace membership and issues the credential. Coordinates with dataspace operators to confirm membership before signing. Responsible for revocation when membership ends.

Verifier

The iSHARE Foundation is a non-commercial foundation that acts as Scheme Owner. It sets the interoperability rules for data spaces, certifies who may issue Dataspace Participant Credentials, and maintains the Trusted List. It does not operate a data space itself, does not issue membership credentials, and has no commercial interest in who joins which data space.

De iSHARE Foundation is een niet-commerciële stichting die optreedt als Scheme Owner.
