One fixed DSA contract: €25.000 per year

Eén vast DSA-contract: €25.000 per jaar

From 1 January 2027 a Data Space Authority contracts directly with the Scheme Owner for one fixed, CPI-indexed annual fee — identical for every data space, replacing the former maturity-and-size-tiered data space membership (€2.500 – €100.000) and its cost-dependent pro-rata clause. No sign-up fee. For comparison: an OpenPeppol Authority pays the same €25.000 per year plus a €25.000 sign-up.

Vanaf 1 januari 2027 sluit een Data Space Authority rechtstreeks een contract met de Scheme Owner voor één vast, CPI-geïndexeerd jaartarief — identiek voor elke dataspace, ter vervanging van het eerdere naar volwassenheid en omvang getrapte dataspace-lidmaatschap (€2.500 – €100.000) en de kostenafhankelijke pro-rata-clausule. For an Authority that operates scheme components itself within its own federation. The licence reflects real component usage — it is not a second membership.

Choice — competition, not designation, keeps onboarding priced fairly. Coverage — enterprise onboarding and the SME long tail need different issuers. Credibility — one issuer per data space is a monopoly with a certificate. For certified issuers this policy is the market: every data space on the framework needs more of them. Continuïteit — een issuer die omvalt of vertrekt mag nooit een dataspace stranden. Keuze — concurrentie, niet aanwijzing, houdt onboarding eerlijk geprijsd. Membership fees and accreditation charges cover the cost of running the scheme — assessments, registry maintenance, legal framework, standards participation, and governance. No margin is extracted.
